Anadarko Basin
The Anadarko Basin is located in the eastern portion of the Texas Panhandle. It spans across Oklahoma, Kansas, and Colorado. Oil and gas fields within the basin include the Elk City Field, Hugoton-Panhandle Gas Field, Union City Field, and the West Edmond Field.
Barnett Shale
The Barnett Shale is located in the Bend Arch-Fort Worth Basin. It is believed to have the largest reserves of an onshore natural gas field in the United States.
Cliffside Gas Field
The Cliffside Gas Field is located in the Texas Panhandle, northwest of Amarillo, Texas. It is recognized as a national helium reserve.
Cline Shale
The Cline Shale, also known as Spraberry, Wolfberry, and Wolfcamp, is located east of Midland, Texas and stretches across 10 counties: Borden, Coke, Fisher, Glasscock, Howard, Mitchell, Nolan, Tom Green, Scurry, and Sterling.
Cotton Valley
The Cotton Valley is located in Northeast Texas and Northwest Louisiana. It mainly produces natural gas with some oil being produced as well.
Eagle Ford Group (Shale)
The Eagle Ford Group (Shale) is 50 miles wide and stretches from the Texas-Mexico border and extends 400 miles towards East Texas.
Delaware Basin
The Delaware Basin is located in West Texas and southern New Mexico. It covers over 6.4 million acres and stretches from Alpine, Texas, north to Carlsbad, New Mexico. The Delaware Basin will continue to produce oil and gas for the foreseeable future.
